James M. "Jim" Holland and Daniel Gecker want to raise your taxes in Chesterfield County!

Two Chesterfield County supervisors are taking parallel paths to generate revenue to help fund the county's school division's aggressive capital project campaign.
Dale District Supervisor James M. "Jim" Holland said this afternoon at the end of a Budget and Audit Committee meeting that he will recommend the Board of Supervisors approve a a 4 percent meals tax referendum to be voted on by the community.

And Midlothian District Supervisor Daniel A. Gecker will propose the board advertise a 2-cent increase to the county's current real estate tax rate of 95 cents.
Both proposals will be formally put before the board on Wednesday. They are an attempt to generate the funding for a $347.7 million capital improvement program that calls for major renovations at 10 schools and the construction of a new elementary school.   Read the full story here

Are we heading into the 2nd Great Depression?

This Video shares the myths told about the Great Depression:

Are we heading into the 2nd Great Depression?

The factors that led into the 2008 Economic Meltdowns are worse then the factors that led us into the Great Depression.

We had a Woodrow Wilson (George Bush) that feigned being a Free Market conservative, but was a market interventionist. Followed by an FDR (Barack Obama) who believes that raising taxes, creating new welfare programs i.e. Obamacare and government programs (like stimulus and TARP) will save the Free Market.

FDR's policies pro-longed the Great Depression in America for over 10 years, while it was over for most of the world in a few years whose governments took no action allowing the Free Market to repair itself.

History is repeating itself. Bush, Obama, McCain and many others have made sure of that.

Again, are we heading into the 2nd Great Depression?
