Our One Party System

Today in Mesa, Arizona, GOP Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake are hosting a “Town Hall” on Immigration Reform.  Attendance is by invitation only.  Knowing that most Arizonans oppose amnesty, for Amnesty is what this is about, they wanted to be certain that tonight’s evening news showed questioning from their plants in the audience and that the show would be well managed.  In doing so, they've taken a page from the Democrat playbook of the 2008 and 2012 elections where Democrats stacked the audience with plants for the same reason.  And like good RINOs, they’re doing it to advance liberal Democrat policy.
Since 1968 and the election of Richard Nixon to the presidency, we have had essentially a single political party in the United States.  Win, lose or draw Republicans have only failed to advance their own policies and permitted the advance of liberal Democrat policies.  It’s simply a matter of record and it accounts for the crossroads where we find ourselves at present: Republicans in congress are blocking conservative, not liberal, policy, stiff-arming us so that the Democrat policy can run around us to the goal line.  They're not even bothering to hide the fact.
